For example, I’ve:
- Stopped at the same fast-food restaurant every day on the way home from work to get a Diet Coke with light ice for 15 years.
- Eaten the same breakfast and lunch for at least five years. Same thing. Every day.
- Pulled the car out of my driveway and driven away from the house (which is located on a horseshoe) in the same direction every day since I bought the house. (Once I backed into my son’s brand new car parked across from the driveway. That was something different…but that’s another blog post.)
- Worn a lot of the same classic clothes for years.
It’s time to shake things up! Change some patterns and do things differently!
As Ellen Glasgow said in the early 1900’s, “The only difference between a rut and a grave is their dimensions.”
