The Lamest Newspaper Feature Ever

Worst newspaper feature everThe primary newspaper for the Charleston, South Carolina area publishes what seems to me to be the absolute dumbest weekly feature ever.

In the food section, they run a column called Daily Digest (subtitled “what one local ate over the course of a day”) where the journalist picks an area resident, publishes that person’s photo and describes what the person ate that day. Seriously.

In today’s paper, for instance, the subject had coffee, a small glass of milk and the rest of his daughter’s peanut butter toast before leaving for work.

Huh? Who the heck cares? There’s no more exciting news than this in the world of fine dining and nutrition?

This has got to be the lamest feature ever.

Has your newspaper published anything less interesting?

Oh my goodness that is awful! I would email them and let them know its a waste of space and no one is interested! That space can be better used by puboishing local blogs and sharing them! That’s funny in a way though. I think that person needs to get a new job! lol
