There’s nothing like wearing bright spring colors again after a long winter, is there?
In several thrift store trips this month, I stocked up on some warm-weather clothes and was ready for the first warm days.
My treasures included:
- An aqua cotton and Lycra skirt — $2.99 (estimated retail $30)
- Three colorful blazers — one dark purple, one lime, and a reversible, multi-colored one with a black background and paisley print on one side, and a pink background with black print on the other — $1.99 each for a total of about $6 (estimated retail $90)
- A pair of beige Gloria Vanderbilt khaki shorts — $.99 (estimated retail $20)
- A light green Talbots 3/4 sleeve cardigan and matching tank top — $2.99 (estimated retail $40)
In all, the purchases totaled $13, and the retail price for the items was approximately $180, resulting in a savings of $167. Not bad!

You still like bright colors! That’s one difference–I’m stuck on navy and black. Enjoy the pretty new clothes in the beautiful spring weather!
Elisa, Had to laugh when I read your comment because I know I love bright colors now but didn’t realize I did back in college, too! It’s nice to have a friend who remembers you when. Have a nice holiday weekend!
