TT&T Friday Favorites – Sept. 16

friday-favorites-1

I pilfered this idea, and admit it…

One of my favorite bloggers (Jillee from One Good  Thing by Jillee) writes an occasional post very similar to this, and I thought it’d be a fun way to discuss memorable things I come across during the week that don’t merit an individual blog post.

What I’m Amused By:

This online article: Newt Gingrich Breaks Into Coughing Fit While Discussing Hillary Clinton’s Coughing Fit

Why: Because it’s so incredibly silly.

What I’m Excited By:

Noise-cancelling earphones

Why: I use ear plugs at work, and have always wondered if noise-cancelling earphones would be better. Got a pair and the answer is yes, they are! They don’t even have to be plugged into anything and they’re WAY better than regular earplugs for blocking noise. (I work in a cubicle in the middle of a huge room and can’t concentrate to read and write when there’s any kind of music or noise, and these are perfect.)

What I’m Appreciating

Just love a cute little no-stick pan I bought at Tuesday Morning to fry a single egg.

Why: Every day I make a one-egg sandwich on a Bagel thin (great for Weight Watchers) for breakfast and this pan make prep super-easy.

What I’m reading:

America’s First Daughter: A Novel by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie

Why: It was the pick for my book club this month, and although I  don’t like history and  the first 100 pages were tough to plow through, the last 500 pages of this historical novel were very good!

Hope you’re finding some favorites this week, too! Feel free to share yours here.
