Loved the lines from a prayer I heard for the first time on Easter Sunday.
It asks for forgiveness for “the hurts I’ve caused others, and the good I’ve left undone.”
What a simple but worthwhile life goal… to be aware of the good you’ve left undone — the kind words you didn’t say, the smile you didn’t give, the help you didn’t offer, the love you didn’t share — and to consciously try to minimize it.
Never thought about my actions (or lack of action) that way before; I want to remember that idea and act on it every day.
