Yippee! It’s my one-year blogiversary!
I can say two things for sure about blogging: (1) It completely changes the way you look at the world — and (2) I’m hooked on it.
If you write a lifestyle blog, like I do, everything you and other people do and say — and everything you read and see around you — is a potential blog post! (Felt the same way when I started scrapbooking — since all of life suddenly held promise as a scrapbook page.)
Some things I’ve learned about blogging are:
1) It’s really fun — but it takes a lot more time than I thought it would. And it makes you keep your eyes open all the time for topics to blog about.
2) It’s so great when readers take the time to write a sincere comment on your blog.
3) Checking blog stats during the date is addictive. It’s like competing against yourself to see if you can beat your previous “personal best.” And (see #2 above) it’s really fun when people write comments.
Can’t wait to go to the annual BlogHer conference in New York City this July to meet 5,000 other women who also love blogging. Months after registering for the event, it’s still kind of hard to even “wrap your head” around that concept!
Thanks so much to everyone who’s read my blog in the past 12 months! Looking forward to another adventure-filled year …
I agree! It is fun and yes very time-consuming. I hope you have a blast there! I’m hoping to go next year for sure!

Congratulations! Your blog is totally entertaining, just like you!
Thanks so much! Besides my mom and sister, you might be my #1 fan. I appreciate you reading it!
