Boy, it’s been years since I looked through my pots and pans/overflow utensil cabinet! Took everything out and spread it on a towel on the floor.
How did all the stuff in the photo above fit inside?
I keep utensils in this drawer that I need, but aren’t used every day.
Had a lot of duplicate and triplicate utensils, though — I think most of them were from hosting my son’s wedding a few years ago and from a short-lived barbecue phase.
I had pots without lids and lids without pots.
But the crux of the problem was an enormous blue speckled kettle I bought years ago at Goodwill that took up a lot of room. What was I thinking?! That I’d cook for a football team?
Because the kettle forced me to cram everything else in the cabinet, it made getting the crockpot from the shelf above it a precarious experience — and it made the whole cabinet very, very junky.
Because I removed the kettle and quite a few other things, the cabinet doors that wouldn’t quiiiiitttte close (see above) at the beginning are now neatly closed — and everything inside is lookin’ good!
