Several years ago, I made the switch from Charmin to Cottonelle after a friend mentioned how much she liked it.
I love it (well, as much as you can love TP)!
But the price varies dramatically from store to store.
Twelve-Roll Best Price
Surprisingly enough, the best price I’ve found for 12 rolls of this product is from Dollar General — where the 12 Big packs regularly go on sale every month or two for $5 ($.417 per roll). The $5 sale price is on now (Feb. 8, 2015) as part of the Valentine’s Day sale.
You can also use a manufacturer’s coupon with the sales price to reduce the cost even more — or a $5 off a $25 purchase Dollar General coupon for the ad in today’s newspaper.
Compare that price to the following:
–Target (12 Big) – $6.29 (if you use your Target credit card and pay the bill in full, you get a 5 percent discount on everything, reducing the price to $5.98)
–Walmart (12 double pack) – $6.97
–Amazon (12 Big) – $9.99
–Staples (12) — $12.99
Eighteen-Roll Best Price
Another store, CVS Pharmacy, currently has a great price for its Extra Care members, at $6.99 for 18 rolls ($.40 per roll). In addition, if you buy $30 of TP or other specified programs, you can earn a $10 extrabucks reward good on your next store purchase.
This is a recurring promotion.
Can you beat those prices?
Have you found a store that can regularly beat the Dollar General price or the CVS price? If so, please let us know.

Cottonelle is hands down my favorite toilet paper brand. The rolls last longer than any other brand I’ve tried. Occasionally I’ll see it on sale here for 4 or 5 dollars for the same size package – I stock up when I do.
